I don't much like Mexican food
Jul. 2nd, 2006 05:01 pmI went in to work today (yes, on a Sunday) not caring much for Mexican food.
And so, when the decision was being reached as to what we'd get and bring back to the lab (which is what we usually have done the two or three weekends that we've worked so far) it seemed that the consensus was favoring Qdoba. Since I don't much care for Mexican food, I sort of voiced some hesitation to this plan, but was finally convinced to give it a shot. I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla. On the fax order form, under all of the side orders and whatnot, I wrote "None" then drew a big line across, and under the "EXTRAS or SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS" column, I explicitly wrote "No vegetables".
Well, got the thing back and noticed that they had screwed up my order, because it had tomatoes and green things on it. *weary sigh* I picked most of it off as best I could, but I think in the end I wouldn't have liked it even had it come with no vegetables on it. I ate maybe a third of it before admitting defeat.
So, to summarize, I left work today not caring much for Mexican food.
(EDIT) Let me amend this to say that chicken and black bean burritos from Qdoba (and Chipotle and pretty much anywhere else that serves them) are awesome. I found this out long after the occurrence above. Quesadillas still suck, though. (/EDIT)

And on an absolutely unrelated note, along with a bunch of freeware point-and-click adventure games, I downloaded The Ur-Quan Masters last night. Since I hear Star Control 2 is an awesome game, I'm looking forward to giving this a shot. I think I need a bit of a break from Oblivion anyway, given that I'm nearing the end and, aside from finishing the main quest, am starting to run out of things to do. The voice pack for KQ3 hasn't been released yet, so don't want to start that yet either.
