Every fucking time I get a notification that Dragon Age: Inquisition is on sale, either from Steam or Origin[1], I stop everything and go on a fruitless check to see if goddamned Denuvo is still infesting it or not. And I always come up empty handed, same as before. Steam does not show that Denvuo is in the game, aside from the Denuvo Games curator notification on the Store page saying it is still there. I'm not sure if Origin shows if a game has Denvuo at all, one way or another; if there is, I have not found it yet. I even checked the Origin pages for other, more recent games that are said to use Denuvo, such as Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 2022, and could find nothing. (However, it should be noted that, even on Steam, those games do not have a Denuvo warning, either, despite apparently using the malware, which is yet more bullshit on Steam's part, too.) Given that I have seen no definitive news that the infection has been cured, I'm still not going to risk it. To reiterate: until and unless I see positive confirmation from a source that I trust that Denuvo demonstrably has been removed from Dragon Age: Inquisition, I will not be buying it. Simple as that.
Honestly, I suppose I should just remove all notifications about it altogether, just so that this problem stops reoccurring, because at this point, even if I bought the damned game, I'd probably never actually play it. *weary sigh*
