Every fucking time I get a notification that Dragon Age: Inquisition is on sale, either from Steam or Origin[1], I stop everything and go on a fruitless check to see if goddamned Denuvo is still infesting it or not. And I always come up empty handed, same as before. Steam does not show that Denvuo is in the game, aside from the Denuvo Games curator notification on the Store page saying it is still there. I'm not sure if Origin shows if a game has Denvuo at all, one way or another; if there is, I have not found it yet. I even checked the Origin pages for other, more recent games that are said to use Denuvo, such as Battlefield 2042 and FIFA 2022, and could find nothing. (However, it should be noted that, even on Steam, those games do not have a Denuvo warning, either, despite apparently using the malware, which is yet more bullshit on Steam's part, too.) Given that I have seen no definitive news that the infection has been cured, I'm still not going to risk it. To reiterate: until and unless I see positive confirmation from a source that I trust that Denuvo demonstrably has been removed from Dragon Age: Inquisition, I will not be buying it. Simple as that.

Honestly, I suppose I should just remove all notifications about it altogether, just so that this problem stops reoccurring, because at this point, even if I bought the damned game, I'd probably never actually play it. *weary sigh*

Sending this post via my cellphone, using the phone data (as opposed to WiFi-only with mobile data turned off, like I usually have it set at).

So, apparently, according to Duke Energy, the power is out b...

And that's as far as I got in this before the power at least started trying to come back on. Anyway, to continue...

...the power is out because of fallen trees. It went out about 30-45 minutes ago or so. I thought it was about to come back on just now, as it did flicker for a few seconds, but I guess not.

Their estimate was for 2:15am... it just flickered again... but maybe they'll have it back on by the time I finish this post.

By the way, typing this... power just flickered again... on a touchscreen keypad sucks rancid, rabid canine anus, I have to say.

Aaaaaaaaannnnnndddd... nope, the power is not yet back on fully as I finish this. Lame.

(EDIT) Actually, it came back on (hopefully) for good literally the exact millisecond I hit the "post" button on this. Go figure. (/EDIT)

(EDIT 2 @ 10:55pm) Back on my PC with a proper keyboard again, thank goodness. Typing and sending the above apparently used up 6.98MB of mobile data (along with whatever other shit my phone decided to do in the background while doing it, which was probably most of that 7MB). Given that I currently have 1.88GB available via TracFone, and given that the only times I will ever use it is during scenarios like this, I'm not gonna sweat 7MB all that much at all. *nods sagely* (/EDIT 2)
