"Dehumanizing people in the service of 'jokes' isn’t okay. It literally gets people killed."
And here is a (no-longer existent on actual Twitter) Twitter thread I made in response to that:
"Dehumanizing people in the service of 'jokes' isn’t okay. It literally gets people killed." (Things like this are why Wil Wheaton is one of my favorite people ever.) https://t.co/E8kQqLC1fM

Also, I will say it yet again: "It's just a joke bruh" is not, has never been, and will never be a get-out-of-jail-free card that magically allows you to avoid all consequences for the stupid, hateful, offensive, terrible shit you may want to say.
— Kane Magus (@KaneMagus) December 14, 2021
You are free to say whatever stupid, hateful, offensive terrible shit that you want to, in the name of "comedy" or whatever else, but the rest of us are just as free to call you out for being a goddamned asshat in response, so if that bothers you... *shrug* ...tough fucking shit.

I've been a fan of Dave Chappelle in the past, and I still think that his comedy on racial relations is right on point, for the most part.

I just wish that Mr. Chappelle could see that he, now, is doing to trans people what racist fuckholes have done to black people for the past multiple centuries. Chappelle is the villain of the piece, in this case, and the sooner he realizes that, the better off everyone would be.

As much as I may have been a fan of Dave Chappelle and his comedy in the past, in this particular case, Chappelle can eat Donald Trump's weight in putrid diarrhea, as far as I am concerned.
(The only issue I have with Mr. Wheaton's article is that throughout it, he consistently misspelled Chappelle's name as "Chapelle," which I assume was unintentional.)
