Star Trek TNG related dream.
Had a fairly weird one last night. Pretty involved as well. It was Star Trek TNG themed.
It started off in Ten Forward. I was there, in a full Starfleet uniform and everything (a red one, like what Picard wears). I'm pretty sure that I was me and only me this time (as opposed to some of the weird dual roles I've had in previous dreams). The role I played through most of the dream would probably have been filled by Riker had he actually been there, though. Data was there and so was Lore, except that Lore was acting strange, even for Lore. He was acting very befuddled, kind of like how B-4 was acting in Nemesis, except worse.
After a scene switch, I found myself in what I can only describe as one of the elementary school classrooms I was in as a kid. There were some generic, nondescript kids hanging around, but they didn't play any role except as scenery. Thing is though, this was still on the Enterprise. I turned to Dr. Crusher, who was sitting to my left in one of the school desks, and asked her what was going on. She said that a remedial class for Lore was being held and that we were observing. I asked that if this was for Lore, then why wasn't he there? About that time, of course, was when Data came in with Lore, with Picard following behind him. Lore sat in front of Crusher, Data sat in front of him, and Picard took a desk to my right. A generic, nondescript teacher came in and started teaching. At this point, Lore balled up a piece of paper and threw it. It didn't go very far so he picked it up and threw it again. It went a little farther, but he was starting to get pissed. He picked it up again and threw it, and this time it went clear across the room. I leaned over to Picard and told him that I wasn't sure but I think I'd seen this episode before, and that I thought Lore was going to be trouble (because Lore is always trouble when he shows up). Picard nodded, got up and left, and I followed him.
Another scene switch. Now Picard and I are in what reminded me of the Deep Space 9 Promenade after I'd woken up, except that in the dream itself it just looked like a current-day mall more than anything else. This was still on the Enterprise, though. Picard went over to this big glass display case that was filled with phasers and took one out. I took one as well. At this point, I momentarily lost sight of Picard, because I was trying to get the phaser to work. It had this little display screen that kept showing something like "invalid user" or some such. I started talking to the computer, telling it to accept my authorization to use the phaser, which should have been valid, but the computer didn't respond. I saw Picard again and went over to him. I told him that I remembered the episode now and that he shouldn't worry, because everything would work out okay. He asked me what I was talking about, and I told him I couldn't tell him because of spoilers. He got annoyed and said that he didn't care about spoilers and that I should go ahead and tell him. So I told him that Lore was behind the computer acting weird, but that he wasn't being intentionally evil this time. Lore had been infected with a contagious computer virus, which was now affecting the ship computer. We decided we needed to find Data, so we went to the bridge.
Another scene switch. We were on the bridge now, except that it had school desks everywhere. It was not the same room as we were in before, but still. Very weird. The ops and conn consoles were gone and in their place were all the school desks. They weren't facing the viewscreen or the seats where Picard usually sits, but were facing so that the screen was to the left and the command center was to the right. We found Data and learned that he was now affected as well. The whole time Picard and I were trying to talk to Data, the kids in the room kept passing around graded tests that, apparently, we'd all taken at some point in the past. It was rather distracting, and we tried to ignore it. As we were trying to get Data to tell us where Lore was (because curing Lore would solve all the other problems, somehow) that was when I woke up.
All in all, it was one of the more detailed and involved dreams that I can remember having in quite a while.
