Oh, and that's only if you consider the Lords of Shadow series to be "actual Castlevania," which is debatable. As such, the last original series Castlevania game would probably be considered to be Harmony of Despair. But then, that one was the multiplayer arena thing, even if it could be played singleplayer, so... I guess the last true, actual, single-player, full-on Castlevania (that wasn't a remake of an earlier game) was Order of Ecclesia. (I don't count The Arcade since that was basically a fucking light gun game. And it wasn't released in North America, so there's that, too. And though I liked it well enough, I don't count Judgment, either, as that was a fighting game, not a traditional Castlevania game.)

But then, some people apparently don't like the Metroid/RPG-style games and would probably consider the last "true" Castlevania game (that, again, wasn't a port/remake of an earlier game) to be Bloodlines. But then, in that one, you weren't playing as a genuine, for real Belmont, so I guess truly the last "for really real this time" Castlevania game (that, once again, wasn't a maybe-kind-of-sort-of-if-you-tilt-your-head-and-squint remake of an earlier game) was Belmont's Revenge? (Legends doesn't count, obviously, because in that one you played as a girl and we hates it forever precious.) But then, that one was a portable game, not on a for real real console, so... Dracula's Curse, I guess? *shrug*

Yeah, I'm being mostly sarcastic with the second paragraph there, but anyway.
