I give zero shits about Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls.
For the most part, generally speaking, I kind of sort of agree with them. I totally wouldn't mind seeing an old-school Castlevania game, updated for modern consoles. That said, I'm totally fine with the Metroidvania-style of games as well. And, no, I certainly don't think mobile phones are a good platform for an attempt at a real Castlevania game, and any sort of "mobile-friendly" Castlevania game is not a Castlevania game that I'd ever want to try to play. I just don't believe that modern Konami is even capable of such things anymore, though, on any platform.
As far as mobile games go, on the whole, the only ones of those that I've tried which felt even a little bit like real games, as I've said before, were Deiland and Ankora.
Also, Castlevania Chronicles was not a remake of Rondo of Blood, it was a remake of the X68000 version of the first game. On the other hand, Dracula X Chronicles was a remake of Rondo of Blood. I guess I can see why that could've confused James.
