"Supreme Court rejects Jack Smith’s request for justices to quickly hear Trump immunity dispute"
Because of fucking course they did. *weary goddamn sigh* Trump's stupid fucking delaying horseshit is working just as well now as it ever has, especially considering that he has the vast majority of the SCOTUS basically in his pocket. Trump is never going to face proper justice for his multitude of crimes, same as it has been for the past several decades. Justice in the US is essentially dead.

The main gist of it all, though, regardless of any other considerations, is that Trump's tried and true delaying tactics are succeeding again, at least so far. Trump and his lawyers don't give a single flying shit about whether any of the shit they're flinging at the walls has any real basis in actual fact or law at all, just so long as at least some of that flying shit manages to stick, even if only for a little while. If they successfully delay things long enough, then it's possible that the US might well have enough time to colossally brainfart once again and elect his dumbfuck evil ass to the goddamned presidency again, before any of this stuff even gets to an actual trial. And at that point (especially if the SCOTUS fucks up and arbitrarily decides that a POTUS is above the law), it means Trump will be able to just wave his hands and make all or most of his numerous legal problems go away (as well as pardon anyone and everyone else who helped him do crimes), justice and the rule of law be damned to hell. Sort of like how it all was before, the first time he was POTUS, with how Congress and SCOTUS were continuously protecting his corpulent ass then, too.
Thing is, you just know that if it were Biden or Obama or Clinton who were on trial for even a nanoscopic fraction of all the flagrantly criminal shit Trump is on trial for, the RWNJs would be all up in their asses with picks and combs, trying to get them put away forever, because a POTUS is not and should not be above the law (and if such were the case... like, if it really were, say, Obama, instead of Trump, who had literally fomented and committed insurrection like how Trump obviously did, then I would actually agree with them, even if I had supported Obama [which I did, here in the real world where it was Trump, not Obama, who did that shit]). Hell, even now, while they're trying to get Trump off on this asinine "POTUS is above the law so none of this matters" bullshit, they're simultaneously still doing everything they can to (among other things) tie the Hunter Biden shit to Joe Biden himself (despite failing to do so time and time again because of the lack of any evidence at all, because evidence clearly only matters when it's one of their own that stands accused, after all, and for anyone else, they can and will and do just pull whatever diseased shit they can out of their encrusted assholes). To this day, the GQP dumbfucks in the House are still trying to get their impeachment on against Biden over any number of imagined, delusional, bullshit accusations against him, while at the same time blatantly excusing, justifying, and/or outright ignoring all of the very real shit that Trump has done and is still doing even now. And even if it becomes fully settled precedent that a POTUS is somehow considered to be above the law, via all this Trumpian horseshit, the RWNJs still would never let that apply to a non-GQP POTUS, even so. Disgusting hypocrites, the entire lot of them. For what that's worth. Which isn't much.
