Dreams I had last night
For once in a long while, I woke up this morning actually feeling pretty good, rather than tired and crappy.
Part of that may have been due to the weird dreams I had last night, though I'm not sure if that's a cause of the above or just another side effect.
There are only three distinct dream episodes that I recall, though I have the feeling that there were more that I'm not remembering.
Dream #1: Going Boating with Abraham Lincoln.
I was just kind of, like, chilling with Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States of America. He was wearing the top hat and everything. We were inside this warehouse kind of building, except that instead of a floor (aside from a small dock-like area next to the door, on which we were standing) there was nothing but water. There was a small boat, with an attached roof on poles over it, about 3 feet high. Mr. Lincoln got into this boat and remained standing, and when he did, he shrank down to an appropriate size to fit. I got on top of the roof of the boat and remained normal size. The guy driving the boat, a tiny gondolier who was also only about 3 feet tall now same as Lincoln, started pushing the boat around with his stick. I kept looking down into the water to see how deep it was. The water was extraordinarily clear, for how dark the warehouse was. In fact, it seemed more like the water only existed on the surface of the area and was acting more like a glass floor in a sense, because underneath us was another floor of the warehouse, which was way more well lit than the one we were on. Little robots were scurrying about doing work, and the windows down there had sunlight pouring through them, even though technically all of that stuff should have been underground relative to the outside of the building.
Anyway, after an indeterminate scene switch, we eventually left this building and were walking around outside. We were near a big lake and in the distance and we saw another small boat landing. This one bordered a kind of swamp/forest thing, though the building from the first part was nearby as well. Mr. Lincoln (now normal sized again) and I walked over to it and decided that we wanted to go boating again. We looked at the only boat there. The thing was half submerged in the water, so I picked it up. It was very small, only the size of a sled or snowboard or something. It was also wafer thin and completely translucent. It also had a huge gaping hole in the bottom of it, which made it entirely unsuitable for use. We noted this and were about to turn to the guy running the boat landing to complain when we saw another boat that had just appeared, though it felt like it should have been there all along. We were kind of confused that we hadn't seen this boat before. It was quite long and narrow, kind of like a kayak, but more open-topped like a regular rowboat. It was also a red, white, and blue color, like an American flag. This was clearly the boat for us, so we took it out on the lake. It was about this time that Mr. Lincoln remembered that he had a speech to give soon and that we needed to get back to shore.
That was when this episode ended.
Dream #2: The Large Curve-billed Bird.
This one was kind of short. All I remember is that I was standing in the kitchen of my parents' house, looking out the window, except in the dream the window was larger and lower to the floor so I could see more of the yard than you can IRL from that window (more like the one in the living room of my parents' house, which is a big picture window). Outside was my old black Labrador Retriever named Barney that we had many years ago. Also outside was this really weird bird. It was a very tall bird, but shaped vaguely like an ostrich. Its head was kind of shaped like that of Big Bird from Sesame Street, however. It was covered from its head down to the top of the legs in grayish-white feathers, and the legs were normal ostrich legs. The strangest thing about it was that it had this huge beak, curved downward to a point. Oh, and it also had no eyes.
This bird and my dog were somehow communicating with each other, even though they weren't making sounds or anything. Whenever the bird was "talking," its giant beak would open really wide, and the bottom half of the beak, also curved like the top half, would extend down and touch its chest. It didn't flap its beak like it was actually talking or anything, though. It would just open the beak, stand there for a bit, and then close it again. I have no idea what they were discussing, I just got the impression that they were communicating.
That was when this episode ended.
Dream #3: Riding in a Limousine with Sailor Moon.
As in some previous dreams, in this one I was kind of two people at once. I was myself, but I was also someone else at the same time. I want to say that I was Chiba Mamoru, but at the same time I think that he was there as a separate person as well. It was all rather confusing, especially after I woke up and started trying to make sense of it all.
Anyway, I was standing there next to a limousine with pretty much the entire cast of Sailor Moon, though the only one I "recognized" at the time was Usagi herself. And later Mamoru, as mentioned above. At first, all the girls were in normal, casual clothes (as opposed to their Sailor Fuku when transformed or their school uniforms). Then, suddenly and for no apparent reason, they were all in one-piece swimsuits. The swimsuits were all light gray with strange navy blue patterns on the front of them, sort of like UPC symbols, except that they weren't barcodes but more varied geometric patterns. I have a feeling that the patterns were supposed to mean something, but I don't know what. I was still wearing normal clothes. The "other" me was confused by this, but the "real" me, who was more just an observer than a active participant (and was probably aware that it was a dream, at least on some level), was kind of like "aw yeah, baby." ^^; The "in dream" explanation for this (somehow) was that the limo driver was a perv. No, I wasn't the limo driver. ¬_¬ I never actually saw the driver myself.
At this point the doors on the limousine opened and we started to get in. At one point I saw Mamoru walking by, so that's why I'm not really sure who the "other" me was. I don't think he got into the limo though. Usagi, still in the swimsuit along with the others, got into the limo and then, suddenly, my IRL sister (the oldest one) was there for some reason (in normal clothes), and also got into the limo as well, sitting between me and Usagi. Both the "real" me and the "other" me were annoyed that we weren't sitting beside Usagi, and Usagi seemed annoyed by it as well. We both (or rather, all three of us, if you count the two different versions of me) started trying to convince my sister to switch seats or move somewhere else.
That was when this episode ended.

I have to say, though, that the Lincoln dream was pretty cool.
