Irritating bug in Fable III.

There is a character in Fable III who is voiced by John Cleese. He is the player character's butler and, after a certain point in the game, he resides in the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is basically a fluffed up menu system. He has a lot of dialog in the game, probably the most of any character.

I have encountered a bug, one which has also affected a lot of other people, based on forum threads on Lionhead's website and on GameFAQs and other places. This bug makes it so that none of Jasper's lines play in the game. At all. He is completely silent. This bug hits different people at different points, and if it hits early enough it can apparently even be a game-breaker, in that if his lines do not play during some of the tutorials, the game won't progress past that point. I'm past that point in my game, but I don't know if there aren't any other places later on where this may happen as well.

As such, as annoyed as this makes me, I have decided to put Fable III aside until they patch this issue, which could take weeks or longer. If it takes long enough, I'll probably just restart, even though I'm already a pretty good ways into the game.

And, as is always the case when I encounter bugs like this, it makes me wonder what other crappy surprises may be lurking in wait, and it just completely kills my enthusiasm to continue playing.

(EDIT)

So what I plan to do is to hold off on playing Fable III for now, and go through Fable: The Lost Chapters and then Fable II again. I had planned to do this before starting Fable III anyway, but didn't, due to not having a working copy of Fable TLC until only a few days before Fable III released (since my PC copy simply does not work at all on Win7 64-bit, and the Xbox version that I ordered didn't arrive until only last week).

Hopefully by the time I finish those, Fable III will have been patched.
