Gangs

Apparently, there was a gang-related shooting in my hometown back in North Carolina. Granted, I haven't lived there for five years now, so I guess I don't know what it's really like there anymore, but still, that just seems... utterly absurd to me. What the hell is wrong with kids "these days"? *weary sigh*

Five years was how much time I spent in Bryan/College Station. Coming home to San Antonio, where I had lived all my life, was a total shock. Businesses had shut down and/or moved, neighborhoods had changed demography (richer, poorer, abandoned in favor of strip malls, etc.), and mayors had come and gone.

I feel you.
