"Mortal Kombat X PC Support Angry Rant!"

Between this and all the bullshit surrounding the PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight, I think that WB Games should just get out of the PC market altogether. They clearly seem to want to do that, after all.

(Not that I, personally, give much of a shit at all about either game in the first place, really, on the PC or anywhere else. I'm perfectly fine waiting for a <$5 sale on Steam before getting them, or simply doing without, whichever.)

I certainly agree they should pull out, but that's for the good of the gamers. The company doesn't care about the gamers however, as they're showing time and time again. All they care about is the cash, and gamers keep throwing money at them despite bullshit like the last two games... so... nope, gamers will continue to get exactly what they deserve.

Pretty much, yeah. Even Angry Joe himself, though he's ranting about the shit, still freely admits to having bought the shit in the first place. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. If Joe makes another rant in the future about yet another bullshit thing like this that WB has done, which Joe himself admits to having bought into it, my response will probably be along the lines of that, while I agree with his rants and all, I think he's actually part of the problem, too, precisely because he's still buying into the shit. He's still foolishly giving them money they don't deserve, same as all the other fools out there who still give them money they don't deserve.

For the common gamer, I'd definitely agree with you. But at the same time remember what Joe does for a living. He reviews games, and for the most part he seems to buy the games himself. (I suspect a lot of companies know full well he'll tell them their shit is shit and refuse to hand out the freebies.)

So I don't mind him buying it then bitching about the practices employed. The point is that he warns the rest of us so the rest of us can avoid wasting our own money. He's buying them to review first and foremost. So since if something is seriously shitty, he's probably part of the solution by warning the majority.

That's true. I suppose it's good to have at least a few relatively loud voices with broad reach like Angry Joe willing to waste their money and potentially get burned on a game, then rant about it to everyone else so that they don't have to do the same.

Of course, the companies seem to be starting to find nefarious ways around even that sort of thing.

First, such as here, where they just up and decide to basically drop support for the PC version... after Angry Joe and others like him have bought it and praised it, fully expecting that it would, of course, continue to receive support like the console versions (which Joe says they actually claimed they would do, but now aren't). For the probably lots of people (Joe estimates at least half a million) who went ahead and bought the PC version on Joe's say so, among whatever other reasons, I guess all those people are just shit out of luck at this point.

Second, there's the thing where they straight up did that bait and switch bullshit (http://owsf2000.livejournal.com/122633.html) on him, where they apparently gave him review code that did something slightly less egregiously terrible than what the final released game itself ended up doing. As such, when Joe talks up the game beforehand based on a lie like that, that too will cause people to run out and buy it (though Joe himself, at least, tore them a new asshole over that shit in his actual review video, and rightfully so [and yet, an estimated half a million people still bought it {EDIT} Though that estimate was only for the PC version, and I have no clue how many console units were sold {/EDIT}]).

Also, isn't it rather interesting how this post here and your previous post I linked to there both deal with bullshit that WB Games/Netherrealm has done with this Mortal Kombat X game? Funny, that. ¬_¬
