Wait... what?

A Castlevania fighting game for the Wii....

Um, I'm not quite sure what to make of this...

I think I'll reserve judgment until I hear more. (EDIT Er, no pun intended. /EDIT)

(EDIT 2)

With that said, I think that the amount of unfettered, festering nerd-rage already being heaped upon this game less than a day after being leaked is totally unwarranted. Yes, it could end up sucking, but it could also end up being awesome. It's similar to Mortal Kombat vs DC. Too many people have already written that game off as a colossal failure as well.

When, generally speaking, did gamers become such cynical, jaded, elitist assholes?

(/EDIT 2)

(EDIT 3)

Then again, I don't think that the Nintendo 64 Castlevania games are the heaping piles of abject failure that just about everyone else makes them out to be either, so what the hell do I know? *eyeroll*

(/EDIT 3)

didn't see much of castlevania 64 and the like. However as far as a castlevania fighting game goes, I'm all for it so long as it's done well. After all the games we've seen, you can bet there's plenty of source material for a nice cast of combatants.

If it's done poorly tho, then it'll just be another thing to ignore. Not nerd-ragin' on it here. I just ignore anything that (in my opinion) sucks.

Exactly. If it's good, that'll be awesome, and if it sucks, oh well. At this point though, there's not much to go on to make a determination one way or the other.

No, it's the multitude of pained cries of "OMFG EPIC FAIL!" or "Baaaaaw this is the end of Castlevania!" or "Konami hates the fans!" or "It looks like Soul Calibur 2, yuck!" (yes, someone actually said that, as though looking like Soul Calibur is somehow a bad thing??) and the like, all based on a single fuzzy screen shot and a paragraph's worth of description, that I consider to be unfettered, festering nerd-rage.

And as I said, it's the same with Mortal Kombat vs DC. I think this game has potential to be awesome as well, though it will have a lot to prove. But just about everyone else has declared it already dead, buried, and rotting in the ground, and did son pretty much on the day it was announced.
