Huh. Well, how about that. Maybe it was worth fighting for, after all.
That said, I still think (as the article also says) that too much damage has already been done. Hasbro/WotC have already shown their true colors and revealed how they actually feel about their customer base (regardless of any fake-as-fuck kumbaya, we're all winners here, PR bullshit sentiments they may have tried to respond with after the fact), so it wouldn't surprised in the slightest if a huge number of former D&D players choose to remain former D&D players, rather than returning to it.
