GameStop Trade-in for new Slim 360 console.

Anyone out there with an old 360 planning on going in for this? I'm seriously considering it. It looks like I can get around $170 credit toward the new 360 (original system + controller, 20GB HD, and wireless adapter). They also give you 7 days to transfer stuff from the old HD to the new one (though you'd probably have to buy a transfer cable).

The trade-in offer ends on July 18.

(EDIT)

It seems like they're taking "pre-orders" for the system at the store I would normally go to (even though it is already supposed to be available now). From what I've heard, if I "pre-order" now, asap, I'll be eligible to get one from the July 9 shipment, since apparently all previous shipments have already been snapped up via these "pre-orders". So, yeah, screw that, I guess I just won't bother with it after all. If my current 360 ever fries and I need a new one, I'll just get one of the slims at that point.

"All Square Enix Games To Include Social, Multiplayer Gaming"

I think that this, quite frankly, is horrible news. I guess I probably won't be buying any more Square-Enix games if this goes through and becomes the norm for them. Depends on how invasive it will be, I guess. If it's entirely optional, or something as simple as Steam community stuff or something similar which can be completely ignored as desired, then it wouldn't be too bad. Anything more than that would be too obnoxious to me, however, and I simply wouldn't play the games in question.

Is Square-Enix becoming the next EA/Activision? Or are they at that point already?

(EDIT)

The commenter with the user-name of "Robert Kotick"... that's not the actual Robert Kotick, is it? Surely not... right? I'm guessing it's just someone using the name as a (somewhat unfunny) joke, but I can't be sure. After all, I didn't quite believe it at first when "Jack Thompson" started posting to Destructoid a few years ago either, but it apparently was the real deal in that case, and I guess it could very well be the real deal here as well.

In any case, that sounds about like something Kotick would say, even if it's not actually him.
