Seriously... all because a dude said "we" instead of "I," thousands of instances of what is already a made-up bullshit ritual in the first place are now considered to be "invalid." No, but really, all baptisms not performed in the original Aramaic or whatever language it was that Jesus presumably actually spoke "IRL" should technically be "invalid," too? I mean, it's not like Jesus ever spoke English or Spanish or whatever, right?

And people on Twitter are saying, "hurr durr a baptism is your public declaration of your faith in God no man can declare it invalid derp" and I'm like, yeah, totally, all those infants (like the one shown in the picture included with the article) were totally standing up and declaring how much they loved Jesus when that priest poured a bowl of water over their heads and mistakenly said "we" instead of "I," so it totally doesn't matter if their baptisms are "invalid."

As for the Consecration of the Eucharist or whatever, when I was in middle school, I once went to a church with my best friend at the time, and there they used grape juice for that. Grape juice is not wine, so I guess that was "invalid," too. *shrug + eye roll* Not that I really gave much more of a flying fuck even back then than I do now. I mostly just went because it was my friend's family's thing, and I was merely along for the ride.

It's all asinine horseshit, regardless of whether it's "valid" or "invalid."

Religion is fucking clownshoes. That is all.
