"Hi. The House of Pod's Kaveh Hoda joins Katy, Cody, and Jonathan to talk about Trump's decision to bomb Iran, the ceasefire, and his desperate desire to win the Nobel Peace Prize. They also discuss the Supreme Court's ruling that the administration can feel free to rendition people to countries they have never visited."

Youtube auto-captionimg translated "sycophants" (in reference to the guest talking about Trump's sycophants) as "sick fans." I think that works, too.

Man, why can't Stephen Miller be excommunicated from the cult in the same way that Steve Bannon and Elon Musk and so many others have been? The problem with Donald Trump isn't just Donald Trump, but also that Donald Trump is surrounded by (has surrounded himself with) people who are arguably and possibly even worse than he himself is, and that's really saying something, since Donald Trump himself is literally worse than a wet, leaky sack of dogshit.

Also, if Donald fucking Trump ends up getting a Nobel Peace Prize, then that will just pretty much invalidate the entire concept of Nobel Prizes forever afterward.

And they're talking about Trump sounding tired and so done with this shit or whatever... well, just a reminder, this is what happens when Trump finds something to be too difficult to deal with and he just doesn't want to bother anymore:

*weary, sad sigh*

So, let's see...

Ridiculous lies about how her daughter died... Check.
COVID-19 mdisinformation... Check.
RFK Jr. bullshit... Check.
Alex Jones Sandy Hook and 9/11 bullshit... Check.
Royal Family is shapeshifting lizards... Check.
Wifi is dangerous... Check.
Coffee enemas can make you "cancer free"... Check.
Sunscreen can cause cancer... Check.

That and a bunch of other worse-than-worthless dogshit beliefs just demonstrates that this Kate Shemirani asshat (along with her husband and her "alternative medicine" friend and some others mentioned in the article) is an insane shitfuck of a human being who doesn't deserve oxygen, same as every other person like her who believes and, worse, spreads rampant disinformation, especially when it is actively making people (like her own daughter) unnecessarily dead.

An evergreen headline for articles like these could simply be "RWNJ SCOTUS Justices Once Again Bend Over, Raise Robes, And Spread Cheeks For Trump."

Yet another 6-3 RWNJ-brainshart-empowering decision, of course.

Well...

I guess some warmongering ghoul managed to be the last person to talk to Trump before he made his decision.

Also, man oh man, how I wish we could compress the remaining 3.6 years of Trump down in the same way that two weeks were compressed down into two days.

"Hi. On today's episode, Akilah Hughes joins Katy, Cody, and Jonathan to talk about Donald Trump's decision on Iran, which is apparently happening in the next two weeks. They also discuss Tucker Carlson's contentious podcast episode with Ted Cruz, the Supreme Court's discriminatory ruling on laws banning gender-affirming care, and how the GOP wants to sell off America's public lands for oil drilling.

"Here's the 'portrait' of Trump we're referring to in the second half of the episode: https://x.com/jeffmason1/status/19353...

"Here's a graphic representation of federal land that the GOP wants to sell: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/instant/b..."

Man, Fucker Carlson vs the Zodiac Killer is like... well... it's like Tucker Carlson vs Ted Cruz, because I'm too hard pressed at the moment to think of something possibly more lame than that. Even Timmy vs Jimmy was cooler than that (in part because that, at least, was parodying one of the greatest fight scenes ever put on film).

Regarding the guest host tearing into Amy Coney Barrett for "incorrectly" using what she (the guest host) mistakenly thought was the word "discreet"... um, no, she used "discrete" not "discreet." I mean, sure, Amy Coney Barrett correctly used the word "discrete," at least in the sense of the literal definition of the word, even if the argument she (Amy Coney Barrett) made using the word was still complete and total dogshit.

Right, so... Trump pettily had a portrait of Hillary Clinton removed and replaced with a butt fugly picture of his own butt fugly face colored to look like the American flag (which I am fairly sure probably goes against the flag code, not that oh-so-"patriotic" MAGAt asshats care about that shit at all). And that's about all that needs to be said about that.

So very much of what these vile shitstains on the underwear of humanity are doing fall into "they can't be serious" territory, but, no, they are very deadly serious about all of it, especially Trump. And because Trump is so goddamned serious about all the asinine dumbfuckery he does on a daily basis, everyone else around him has to treat it seriously, too, or else they risk being excommunicated from the cult.

Anyway, in conclusion to hell forever with Donald Trump and with Project 2025, which Trump is, obviously, following to a tee.

"The BBC says it has decided not to broadcast a documentary about doctors working in Gaza, due to impartiality concerns it has surrounding the production."

A better headline for this article probably would have been "BBC reports on the cowardice of the BBC."

"Hi. Today we're looking at U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the agency that Donald Trump is using to do his Mass Deportations Now. We look at where they came from, why they're allowed to wear masks, and the movement to stop them from taking over American cities."

A few choice quotes:

"The only gang causing trouble is ICE."

"Kids, the thing you gotta know about post-9/11 America is that almost everyone lost their entire goddamn minds. According to polls, a slim majority of Americans thought it was necessary for some civil liberties to be ceded in order to defeat terrorists. Xenophobia and racism skyrocketed, specifically on the Right. So, we did a Patriot Act, which allowed law enforcement to collect our records and search our homes without notification, so long as they could prove that they 'thought' we were doing a terrorism. Which, at the time, simply meant that you looked Arab or Asian."

"What is ICE? It's just America, bro. It's the institutions we've given unchecked power to over the decades, the end result of the Patriot Act and our broken law enforcement system."

"It seems pretty bad if the system we're all used to is built on the gradual dismantling to civil liberties, because that's the thing: we're used to it. If Trump has any positive talents, it's his ability to make evident that which was already there. He is so grotesque and loud in his terrible goals that, in pushing the limits of his power, he's exposing the seams that everyone ignored. He's the guy who makes the mall security guards realize that, technically, there's no rule against skinny-dipping in the fountain. This is all to say that Trump and ICE are quite horrifyingly working in tandem with a system that most Americans consider functional."

I honestly had never heard of ICE, even though it had existed since the time of Dubya, before Trump started using it as his own personal Gestapo, back during his first """""administration,""""" and I wish I had never heard of it at all (by that I mean I wish it didn't exist at all) now that he's quadrupling down on that Gestapo shit. Oh, and good on Tim Walz, the guy who should be Vice President right now, for saying pretty much the same thing. I didn't know about that until I did a certain Google search just now. He's not wrong, and he's not the only one saying it. ICE == Gestapo. And if the Department of Homeland Security find the comparison "sickening," then fuck them, too. DHS can go piss up a rope.

Anyway, in conclusion, to hell forever with Donald Trump, as usual, and to hell with that Todd asshole, too.

A post on WIL WHEATON dot NET, about Juneteenth and about all the racism embedded in American culture which has tried to downplay this event over the centuries, up to and including, especially, now.

A video, embedded in the above linked post, which I will also embed here:

"Today's video Google Doodle, illustrated by Los Angeles-based guest artist Loveis Wise and narrated by actor and activist LeVar Burton, honors the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth. Short for 'June Nineteenth,' Juneteenth marks the true end of chattel slavery across the United States— which didn't actually occur until 1865, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Specifically, it marks the day when enslaved Black people in Galveston, Texas (one of the westernmost points in the Confederate South) finally received news of their liberation."

"The ruling is a major setback for transgender rights, with more than 20 states enacting laws similar to that of Tennessee."

Guess what, it was a 6-3 ruling, same as all the other RWNJ-brainshart-empowering decisions, because of fucking course it was. Fuck the Supreme Court.[1]

[1] - I was actually going to embed a song explicitly named "Fuck the Supreme Court," but it was too specifically about one of the previous big RWNJ-brainshart-empowering decisions that the Supreme Court made in recent years to be all that useful here, so I just went with the all-purpose old standby above. Still, there it is, if you want to hear it.

"Hi. In today's episode of EVEN MORE NEWS, Katy, Cody and Jonathan dig into the very obvious lies Trump has told about the war in Iran and the scale of human tragedy already unfolding in the region. They also discuss the weekend's large protests, political violence, and Trump's very sad birthday parade."

God, how I wish some other country could/would "force regime change" on the United States right now. ——¬_——¬

Some relevant political cartoons and commentary about them.

Articles from The Daily Cartoonist started showing up in my Google News feed a few months ago, and it was usually just silly, innocuous stuff, but today is when I finally saw one that convinced me to officially add it to my "followed sources" thing and share it here.

I don't often see "newspaper" comics like this, because I stopped regularly reading physical newspapers over two decades ago. I did keep up with the The Comics Curmudgeon for a while (mostly for the commentary), back in the 2010s or so, but my interest in even that much eventually slid off into oblivion as well. Time will tell how long my interest in TDC holds up.

(And yes, I am aware that websites like GoComics exist... I just don't much care.)

"Hi. In today's episode of EVEN MORE NEWS, Katy, Cody, and Jonathan discuss the LA ICE raids and protests, their implications for people living in LA and beyond, the escalation of anti-democratic tactics in the Trump Administration, and the tools available to fight them."

Not even two minutes in, and I'm already throwing up a middle finger at a screenshot of a tweet. (Or whatever the hell they're called on """""Truth""""" Social, if that's what the image was from, I don't know. Later, they show a screenshot of some filth that Trump spewed on the actual """"""""""Truth"""""""""" [which also got a double middle finger from me] and it looked a bit different from the earlier thing, so the first one was probably Twitter? [Or I guess I should say 卐, rather than Twitter.] In any case, it's probably safe to say that Pete Hegseth is not using Bluesky or Threads [is Threads even still a thing?], regardless.)

Centrist libs trying to concern troll protests, meanwhile Donald Trump is about to send has already sent in Marines and LAPD was already shooting rubber bullets at reporters.

I've been asking for a while when will it get to the point to where (sane, non-Trump-fart-huffing) people just get fed up and start saying, "no, fuck you, we're simply not going to do what you say because what you're saying is bullshit" to all the dumbfuckery that Trump's been ordering, and I think we're seeing that happen now. And... we really are going to end up in a literal Civil War again, aren't we. Assuming we aren't already in the thick of it, even now.

Anyway, in conclusion, to hell forever with Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth and Stephen Miller and everyone else who is all gung ho about this horseshit, as usual.

"A once-obscure psychological disorder threatens democracy and haunts the internet"

I kind of miss the days when the only thing I knew about narcissists and narcissism was that the WWF gave Lex Luger the weird gimmick of "The Narcissist."

"The country's defence minister says the activists will be shown a video of Hamas's 7 October attacks."

Right, okay, and who's going to show that assclown a video of all the Palestinian children who have died since October 7, either instantly via bombs or bullets, or horrifically slowly via hunger and/or disease, as a direct result of the actions of Israel?

Oh, who am I kidding? The fucker probably has all that already saved to his personal spank bank folder.

It's like Trump just says a bunch of random shit (e.g. "ThE rEpUbLiCaN pArTy Is EvEn MoRe UnIfIeD tHaN iT wAs ThReE dAyS aGo," and "I hAd NoThInG tO dO wItH ePsTeIn. ThAt'S oLd NeWs.") that is obviously not true that he just expects to magically be true or become true, simply because he said it. And, too often, it actually works, because he has thousands or even millions of lickspittles working around the clock, either openly or in secret (perhaps even unbeknownst to him), to make as much of the bizarre shit he says become as true as it possibly can, or at least to have enough of a veneer of "truth" that too many people just accept it as "true," even if that's to the detriment of everyone not named Donald Trump.

"Hi. What a day for Cody Johnston to have jury duty! On today's episode, Some More News head writer Dave Bell joins Katy and Jonathan to talk about all the angry, petty, childish tweets sent by two people who also happen to be the most powerful person and the richest person on the planet. (Also: Cody shows up for five minutes on his juror lunch break to join in the fun!)"

Good hedge of bets to posit that they might be friends again by the time this video was released. However, fortunately for the rest of us, Trump and Musk are still not friends anymore. Hell, even I didn't know it had gotten quite so bad between these two gargantuan manbabies. But then, I don't have an account on either """""Truth""""" Social or on 卐, so... *shrug*

Here's something that occurred to me as I was watching this (and I kind of expected them to actually mention it, too, but they never did): rather than fighting Mark Zuckerberg, maybe Phony Stark could cage fight Dumbshit Jackass instead? I'd much rather see that fight than any Musk vs Zuck one (as long as it ended in permanently debilitating, possibly fatal injuries for both combatants).

(EDIT) And for all the liberals/Democrats writing "think" pieces about should we accept Musk "back," now that he's on the outs with Trump... hell to the fuck no on that one, good buddy. The Left never "had" Elon to start with. He's always been a shitheel. He just used to do a better job of hiding it. Let his ass twist in the wind. (/EDIT)

Also, guys, you do know you could do an episode specifically about Peter Thiel and Palantir[1], right? You're saying here that "nobody knows who Peter Thiel is" and that "maybe the guy backed by Peter Thiel probably shouldn't have been the vice president" and all that, so... make an episode explicitly about that shit. I mean, you've already mentioned it as asides in several other episodes, but do a whole-ass episode just about that topic. Granted, the eyes and ears that really need to see and hear it would never do so, but still, it's better than just lamenting that "nobody knows who Peter Thiel is."

[1] - Seriously, what is it with right-wing kooks and directly naming their asinine horseshit after easily corruptible and evil magical artifacts from fictional stories? What's next, Trump or Musk or somebody unveiling a literal Torment Nexus? (I mean, Trump just being the president is already a Torment Nexus in its own way, in all but name, but still.)
kane_magus: (Default)
So, what this really means, given that Trump is an inveterate, pathological liar, is that Trump is continuously seething and malding about Elon Musk.

I'm almost surprised that Trump didn't trot out the usual "I barely know the guy"/"I never even met the guy" thing, like he usually does when he's had a falling out with someone (despite the copious photo and video evidence to the contrary). Or is that more something that he saves for when one of his obvious crime buddies gets caught irrefutably committing a crime on his behalf? Or is it more for women he's raped? It happens so much that it's difficult to keep track of the who's who of all the people that Trump "never even met" or "barely knows."
