For most of the Trails and Legend of Heroes games, I think most of them are available on PC at least, as that would be the only thing for which I'd be interested in trying to buy them. But it's still a huge money sink, even with things like Steam/GOG sales, because even with those, I don't think I've ever seen the oldest (and, thus, cheapest) of those games on sale for anything less than $10-$15 USD or so. The newer shit always seems to be in the $20-$30 range, even when on sale. This newest thing will probably be a full $60 release or some shit. (The price doesn't actually show on the Steam page for it yet.)
For shits and giggles, here is the "Nihon Falcom Bundle" on Steam, which apparently has all the Trails and Legend of Heroes and Ys games that are on Steam as of now. It costs fucking $404.88 USD, and that's with a 52% off discount. It is normally $847.78 USD. Fuck the hell out of that shit forever, god damn. With that said, the vast, vast, vast majority of that shit is worthless, asinine DLC packs, too, which makes me all the more disinterested in ever buying these games.
The even older stuff in the Dragon Slayer series is pretty much only on old, defunct consoles, as far as I know. Though, oddly enough, that would make it actually somewhat easier to play those, via emulation and the like.
