DigiPen Network sucks, as usual.
Apr. 26th, 2006 04:25 pm(Here's what's really funny... see, while I was in the very process of typing this post, the computer I was on crashed. And then I spent the next, oh, 20 minutes or so idly ambling around from computer to computer and lab to lab trying to find one that would let me log in. And then, when it became apparent that everyone was screwed, I gave up for another 30 minutes or so and just sat around doing nothing at all important while waiting for the network to come back up, which it finally did. Somewhat. I can access outside websites, like LJ, but the actual internal school websites are still down. So I can't study for the CS260 final at 6:00pm until they come back and I get access to the CS260 website. Anyway, thank goodness for livejournal's autosave draft feature, eh?)
DigiPen network... blah blah blah... can't access SVN now even though it was working just a little while ago... yadda yadda yadda... total piece of shit... blah blah blah... had to email everything to myself via Comcast because I can't log into my DigiPen email now either... yadda yadda yadda... the same old song and dance.
I'm so glad this is the last week. I wonder if they'll fix the network over the summer again, like they did last summer? Because if they do, I fully expect to come back in the fall and find smoking craters where all the computer labs used to be.
On the bright side, I heard back again today from Game Instinct, and I'm now pretty much set to start working beginning next Monday.

Super Mario Bros. live
Apr. 26th, 2006 10:11 pmSuper Mario Bros. live. (And I'm not talking about the craptastic movie, either.)
It didn't seem like there would be much to it at first, but they finally got me with the Pause and the fire flower, and then the screw up with the star on top of that was quite amusing.

David Copperfield foils robbers
Apr. 26th, 2006 11:59 pmYou know, not to make light of the subject or anything, but why didn't he just make the robbers disappear, like he did the Statue of Liberty? I mean, after all, he's got a special machine that can stop time, so why not use that on the robbers, rather than letting the women get robbed?
