Oh man, just walked in the door from school. We (my game team) ended up talking to Professor Ellinger (our teacher for GAM class this year), standing just outside the front doors of the school, for what ended up being a solid hour (even though the school had officially closed at 10:00pm). It was truly awesome amazing astounding. We were, I thought originally, just going to pitch our game idea to him unofficially to see what he thought. I didn't expect it to take more than five, maybe ten, minutes at most. Then he started tossing out some ideas, and I looked down at my watch and suddenly realized it was almost 11:00pm. From our discussion with him, our game idea (which I thought was pretty cool to begin with) evolved into something that I feel is far greater. Though it's still essentially the same basic idea that we originally had. Hell, he almost seemed to be more stoked about it than even we were.

After just this single class with him so far, I now consider Ellinger to be my favorite teacher at DigiPen.

And also, though seemingly a non-sequitur, this came up in the conversation as well. At least, I'm pretty sure this is what Ellinger was talking about. At any rate, it's pretty cool.
