"Grand Theft Morals"

I saw this mentioned on several different sites yesterday.

I could rant and rant about this, but as I said in response to korby's post about it, I'm just going to channel Jon Stewart for a bit, call her an insane jackass, and be done with it.

What I did for a month in North Carolina

Okay, it's been almost a month now, but I've finally decided to get around to writing about what I did on my vacation during May.

Mostly, it's going to be a "These are what books I read and these are what movies I watched and these are what video games I played" post.

Putting these behind cuts for the sake of the apathetic.

Weird robocall

The heck...? I just got an answering machine message which consisted of a creepy computerized voice saying "Default message." Weird.

954-974-3861 according to *69. It's apparently located in Pompano Beach, FL and is an unlisted number, according to reverse look up. No obvious indications that it's a telemarketer or anything like that, though.

At any rate, this is the third call I've received today, but is the first to actually leave any sort of message.

Wait... what?

A Castlevania fighting game for the Wii....

Um, I'm not quite sure what to make of this...

I think I'll reserve judgment until I hear more. (EDIT Er, no pun intended. /EDIT)

With that said, I think that the amount of unfettered, festering nerd-rage already being heaped upon this game less than a day after being leaked is totally unwarranted. Yes, it could end up sucking, but it could also end up being awesome. It's similar to Mortal Kombat vs DC. Too many people have already written that game off as a colossal failure as well.

When, generally speaking, did gamers become such cynical, jaded, elitist assholes?

Then again, I don't think that the Nintendo 64 Castlevania games are the heaping piles of abject failure that just about everyone else makes them out to be either, so what the hell do I know? *eyeroll*
