Telephone etiquette question.

Yes/No: Is it acceptable to talk to someone on a cell phone while you're in the process of taking a disgustingly noisy dump? Particularly if you're in a public restroom at the time?

I'm going to have to go with a great big NO on this one, but apparently that dude in the next stall over from me earlier today thought otherwise. Regardless of it being in a public restroom or not, I'd have to say that it's inconsiderate, to put it mildly, to the person with whom you're talking, especially if it's some sort of business call and not a personal call to someone you know is, for some reason, okay with it or who just doesn't care. As for it happening in a public restroom, and regardless of whether it's okay with your conversation partner, I'd have to say that it's inconsiderate to anyone else present in the restroom to have to listen to your cell phone conversation while they're trying to do their own business.

Also, there is the issue of taking disgustingly noisy dumps in public restrooms in general, wholly separate from whether you're talking on a cell phone at the same time or not. Have I mentioned how much I despise public restrooms? I think I have.

Blargh.

This is simply ridiculous. On the bright side, this is supposed to be the height of it, and it's supposed to start getting cooler as of tomorrow. (Only in the 90s!)
