Here's another "if I didn't already have these games..." post.
This is GOG.com's latest weekend promotion. Another good one.
Another World, likely better known to SNES owners as "Out Of This World", is a side-scrolling game. It's kind of a mix between action/adventure/puzzle, a bit difficult to describe if you haven't actually played it. This is the "15th Anniversary Edition" which has higher resolution graphics (though still pretty much the same if you've played older versions of the game) and better sound. Here is the intro and a few minutes of gameplay.
Sanitarium, aside from a tiny bit of combat at a few points in the game, is a classic point-and-click adventure. You play as a guy who wakes up in a sanitarium, and who is trying to figure out who he is, why he's there, and what the heck is going on. As the game goes forward, he finds himself in... well, crazy worlds. How much of what he experiences is reality and how much of it all in his head? To say much more would be spoilers. Here is what appears to be a fan-made trailer for the game.
