I tried a can of sardines today, for what is probably the first time ever. If I've ever had them before, I don't remember it. Mainly I wanted to try them because they are supposed to be good for you.
I didn't want to be too adventurous to begin with, so I got the ones packed in mustard rather than just oil, and only one tin of it, even though they were on sale for like 4/$10 or some such. When I got the tin open, my heart sank, at least at first. They look absolutely disgusting. However, when I pulled one out, put it on a cracker, and took a bite, it was actually pretty good. They also didn't stink as much as I thought they would have. I'd probably be willing to eat them again, for sure.
And for dessert: blueberry yogurt. That's also the first time I'd eaten yogurt in probably over a decade. I knew I'd like it, though, or at least be able to eat it, so I went ahead and got 10/$10, each of a different flavor (well, except that I got two of the blueberry).
