I've never liked OnLive to begin with, given that I think the concept of streaming video games entirely over the Internet is an incredibly bad idea, but even ignoring that, this is still a very scuzzy thing for any company to do to their employees.
And then there's that patent troll shit at the end of the article there on top of everything else. I hope they do sue Sony (the owners of Gaikai now), just so Sony can (hopefully) royally curbstomp them in court.
