Here's a thing I hate about the Internet.

You know that thing where somebody posts something, and then some other asshat comes along and makes a "Oh, so you [insert snarky, tangentially-related restatement of whatever the first person posted but which doesn't actually fit the situation at all except that it tries to make the first person look like an idiot]? Got it." comment. I hate that. People who make comments like that can die in a fire.

It's even worse than the thing where someone posts a thing, and then some other asshat comes along and directly requotes that entire thing except for changing a word or two to make it mean something different, usually the exact opposite of the thing the first person posted, and then says "Fixed that for you," or worse, just "FTFY." Unless they're using it in such a way that it actually places greater emphasis on what the first person wrote, in an "I agree with you, but don't think you've gone far enough" sort of way, those people can also die in a fire.
