"Many people have called mobile game Candy Crush a fad. Now there’s evidence that the fad is waning."
Best news I've heard all day. Though that's not really saying much, admittedly.

(EDIT) Yeah, as I figured would be the case, it's just yet another inane timed exclusive. In other words, nothing to see here. Move along, move along. (/EDIT)
Apparently, the new Tomb Raider game is going to be exclusive to the X-bone, for some asinine reason.Worse, it's not clear whether this is a timed exclusive, as has been the norm lately, or an actual exclusive exclusive. I'm guessing it'll end up being the former (since there have been plenty of "this game is exclusive to such-and-such console and there are no plans to ever release it anywhere else" exclusives that later on ended up being not-so-exclusive after all), but if it's truly the latter, then I'll simply never be buying or playing it. Shame, that, but I won't lose sleep over it.
I played through the previous game when a former co-worker let me borrow it, and I had fun enough with it I guess, but I had no interest in buying it for myself afterward at the full retail price. (I did later buy it on Steam when it was on one of those crazy 75% off deals a while back, though I haven't played it again yet.) I similarly had little interest in this new one as well, though I might have similarly gotten it on Steam for the cheap, but now that it's exclusive to the X-bone, and while that exclusivity is in effect, my interest in this game has dropped to zero. Oh well. No big loss, I guess.
What I don't get is why they made it exclusive to the frickin' X-bone, though, given that the PS4 is outselling it two-to-one at this point. Did Microsoft just drive several dump trucks full of money up to Square-Enix's door or something? Probably.

Hmm, I'm definitely going to be taking a wait and see approach with this news. This won't be the first publisher that has been "resurrected" by whatever soulless corporation it is that happens to currently own the rights to its name, only to go on to be thoroughly mediocre, at best (*cough*EA*cough*). A new King's Quest game could be a good thing, maybe... but I'm not going to hold my breath on that being the case. The whole "reimagined" thing sets off all kinds of red alerts in my head, though.
