I never read the lore books in The Elder Scrolls games, or at least I very rarely read them. The reason for this is because I knew that if I ever did start to seriously read them, then that would pretty much become the only thing I'd ever do in the game, in lieu of actually playing the game.
Soon, however, it looks like there will be another way to read them that doesn't interfere with the actual playing of the game, which is pretty cool. "About damn time," is about all I can say to this. (Then again, I suppose I could just read them directly from the wiki pages I linked above if I really wanted to do so, assuming Bethesda doesn't have those removed sooner or later in order to make these new books more appealing.)
