"Sony tried to trademark ‘Let’s Play,’ failed miserably"

Hadn't heard about this bit of asininity until now, even though it's almost a month old, which is like a few thousand years in Internet time.

However, the reason that Sony failed isn't because of common goddamn sense, mind you, but merely because "Let's Play" is apparently too close to an already existing trademark: "Sony Just Tried To Trademark 'Let's Play' And Failed For The Wrong Reason"

What a bunch of shithorse.
