So, today, after about 3 days of running just fine with a temporary replacement video card, I tried to turn my computer on this morning and once again got the no signal on the monitor accompanied by 1 long, 3 short beeps thing. Tried a second time and got the same thing. But then, I fiddled with the power cable going into the temporary replacement card for a bit, and now it's running fine again, at least for now.

Well, looks like I might need to also look into maybe getting a new power supply at some point. If there's a short in the cable to the video card, or something else wrong with the power supply, then things could go pear-shaped at any moment, really. Kinda sucks, since I already bought a new video card. But, on the other hand, if I do end up needing a new power supply as well (or instead), at least I'll still have the new video card as an added bonus, I suppose? Another bright side, I guess, is that this may mean that the old video card actually still works, too.

The new video card arrived today, and so far so good. Hopefully, I won't have any more problems with it, but we'll see, I guess.
