John Scalzi says that the Presidential race wasn't close and that Trump lost by a large margin by several metrics. I agree. However, I also say that the fact that the race was even as close as it was still says that America is in need of a political enema to wash away the Trumpanzees and Trumpanzee-adjacent.
That said, I'm not interested in taking a victory lap, but I will take a victory "sit on my ass in front of the computer same as usual."
Also, there needs to be a separate political enema to wash away the one-third of the electorate that didn't even bother to vote (not counting those that couldn't vote, for whatever reasons, be they COVID or otherwise health related reasons or be they "the GOP suppressed us" related reasons or be they any other actually legitimate reasons beyond "why bother" or "I just didn't feel like it" or "I don't care").
In unrelated news (or, at least, unrelated except for the "sit on my ass" bit), my back is still twinging every once in a while and is still stiff such that it's difficult to bend over, but is a lot better than it was on Sunday.
