This is less an article about that one particular movie, and more a rant about how copy right laws are broken.
I have no opinion on the movie itself which I'd never heard of prior to seeing this article, and even the article doesn't know if the movie got legitimately pulled by either DC/Warner or by TIFF of if it was all just some kind of publicity stunt by the film's creator, but I mostly agree with the generalized "copyright laws are broken" rant.
