Wait, so Mike Pence will say this stuff at a fancy dinner in DC, but he doesn't want to testify to this stuff in a way that might actually matter.

This post was originally going to be a "You go, Mike Pence! For once!" type of post, because I'd only seen that first article, but then I saw the second article (linked to from the first article) from just a week or so before, and it became what it is now.

Also, this enraging bullshit.

I hate politics so much. That's why I write about it so much, I guess. *weary sigh* (Though, again, not nearly as much as I used to.)

Okay, I'm 100% with Woolie on this one. Pat is just straight up cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs in this, in my opinion. And I really don't understand Pat's bizarre distinction between "am I remembering it or am I playing it back?" For me, at least, "playing it back" is remembering it, and vice versa.

For me, I can "see" things in my head, but it's typically hazy and indistinct, with a few extremely rare outliers, occasionally, whatever and whenever those may be. With sound, on the other hand, I can "hear" things, especially music, almost like it's literally playing right there. Doesn't mean I'm necessarily "hearing" it correctly mind you, which is often the case when I'm trying to remember a song or something that I only heard once, long ago, which often surprises me when I actually listen to said song later, and it's like "huh, okay, that was totally different than what I was remembering." But I still "heard" it as a real-ass song, even if it was wrong, not as me just weirdly humming the music in my own voice or whatever.

And, yeah, Pat's "being good at your job means perfection, so long-time musicians should never fuck up" bit is just... o_O
