Back home again, finally...
Dec. 14th, 2023 07:49 pm...a few hours later than we thought we'd be home, because of reasons. Just walked in the door, pretty much.
There are some things regarding this that I could rant about, at great length, in a very rage-y manner...
...but I won't, because I simply do not have the stamina for it. (Bare-bones gist: egregiously piss poor communication on the part of the hospital at one point, which led to an extra hour or so of needlessly excessive worry.)
Long story short, in the end, the procedure went well (perhaps even better than originally expected/intended, though it ended up taking a couple hours longer than we were told to expect it would, as a result), sister was in recovery/ICU when we finally started back home, and they'll be waking her up at some point early in the morning (around 4am-ish they said) to get up and walk around and then moving her to a normal (i.e. not ICU) room. She should be released from the hospital in four or five days or so (one of my other sisters, the one who I mentioned was already there in the previous post, will be staying there for the duration as well).
Now that I'm back home, I'm very sorely tempted to just go to bed, like, right the fuck now, and sleep for 12+ hours. I ended up going to bed at a bit after 8pm last night, then woke up around midnight, never really went back to sleep after that, finally gave up around 3am, got up, and sat around until 5am, when my other two siblings got here to pick me up. But, despite feeling like dogshit now, I probably won't do the go to bed right the fuck now and sleep for 12+ hours thing.
