Whenever someone even remotely "Internet famous" (or maybe even actually famous) leaves a comment on someone else's video, they invariably get dozens or hundreds of replies along the lines of "Hey, it's <insert whoever>!" and "Wow, didn't expect to see you here!" and "Whoa, you like <video creator/video topic>, too?!!" and "<insert dumb, tiresome meme related to thing person is famous for>" and "Who the fuck is <insert whoever> and why is everyone losing their shit?" and many other slight variants of comments solely about the person who left the comment and whatever it was that made that person famous, rather than in reply to what the person's comment actually said or about the video itself that the person was commenting on. It's so banal.
It's almost but not quite as annoying as the "<insert famous person> sent me here!" type of comments. At least in the scenario from the previous paragraph, the worthless comments are usually limited to just that one reply thread.
(Yes, yes, I know. Just don't read Youtube comments, and the problem solves itself.)
