Just found out about this, via someone on twitter.
I'll have to look into the issue in question a bit more before signing any petitions or anything like that (even ignoring, for the moment, how utterly useless Internet petitions tend to be to begin with), but from what little I've read about it thus far, this looks like a pretty crappy thing that is definitely worthy of being petitioned against, useless Internet petitions or not.
