But then, this wouldn't be just another single-player game with unnecessary multiplayer badly shoehorned in. This would be a MMO where the focus is on the multiplayer. Eh, it all comes to the same to me in the end, i.e. it's a game that I'm pretty sure I'll never play, because, except for a single outlier, I generally have little interest in MMO games. Or in multiplayer games in general, with, again, a single outlier. I suppose I should have seen this coming, though. Everyone else seems to be turning their various formerly pure singleplayer franchises into either hybrid single/multiplayer abominations or into straight up pure MMO games (e.g. Star Wars: The Old Republic). It's just the way the winds are blowing, these days. *weary, defeated sigh*
I really hope this just remains an unsubstantiated rumor. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who are chomping at the bit to play an Elder Scrolls MMO though. If this does come to fruition, however, I fear we'll never see another traditional Elder Scrolls game again, just like how ever since World of Warcraft came out, we've never seen another traditional Warcraft game, and that makes me sad.
