Honestly, EA, if you're trying to get me hyped for The Sims 4, you're really not doing a very good job of it. Aside from the revamped creation tools and that whole dubious "emotional state" thing, I see very little else to differentiate this from The Sims 3. Probably I'll still get it someday, once all the inevitable expansion packs have been released and have all been bundled together in a reasonable package, but as for right now, the whole thing just seems really lackluster to me.
