For those on my f-list who live in North Carolina, does the phone number 336-580-0665 or the name "Jim Fletcher" mean anything to anyone? I've gotten 4 calls on my cellphone from this number in the past <24 hours, and that name was one that popped up in some of the results when I plugged the number into DuckDuckGo search. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=3365800665 and https://duckduckgo.com/?q=336-580-0665
My policy for when I get calls on my cellphone from numbers I don't recognize is to simply not answer them and let them go to voice mail, after which I make a determination as to whether or not I want to talk to whoever it is. If they don't leave a voice mail, as was the case here, then I decide that their calls apparently weren't important enough for me to bother with, if they didn't feel it was important enough to leave a message. And if they keep calling without leaving voice mail, I just put the number on my auto-reject list.
So, as I said, I've gotten 4 calls so far from this number in the past day. The first two were back to back around noon yesterday and the third was sometime yesterday afternoon or early evening. I don't recall exact times now because after the third such call, I put the number on auto-reject and deleted the calls from the missed calls list. Well, it's a good thing I put the number on auto-reject, because when I checked my phone just now, I saw another missed call notification showing that this jerkass apparently tried to call me yet again... last night at 2:52am. Fortunately, it didn't ring thanks to the number being on auto-reject, but still...
