Got home today and noticed a message on my answering machine. It was someone from the Seattle Symphony or whatever. Anyway, at first it was just a generic, run-of-the-mill message from someone most likely asking for money but not wanting to say that they're asking for money in the message for fear that I would not call them back. I wouldn't have called them back anyway, so it's a moot issue any way you look at it.
However, at the end of it, the woman leaving the message, apparently in response to my greeting which explicitly states that all of my calls are screened, said something to the effect of "And, you know, if you don't want us to keep calling you back, it would be a good idea to pick up the phone and tell us, so that we'll know and can take you off our list" or some such bullshit. Can you believe that shit? Screw you, bitch. I screen my calls so I don't have to deal with people like you, GET IT?!
