Well, it's about goddamned time. Three entire months after the fucking thing got started (well, COVID-19 has been around a lot longer than that, but it's been roughly three months-ish since the main responses to it began happening in this country) and they've only now started requiring masks when you leave the house, here. And, apparently, NC is only the third state in The South™©® to do so.
And on top of that, the fucking asshat lieutenant governor (who is, not at all coincidentally, running for governor himself this year against the current governor, the one who issued these restrictions) is threatening to sue Governor Cooper over it. What a shit-brained moron. I'll be voting for Roy Cooper (again).
(Just sucks that I have to see those shitty, stupid "Run Forest Run" signs in the neighbor's yard, next to the several "Trump/Pence 2020" signs and the one egregiously asinine "Hillary for Prison 2020" sign, every time I drive by when I go that way. Those, and all the other similarly shitty campaign signs, make that entire yard an easy reference list for who not to vote for in the upcoming elections. And it's a perfect "goddamned losers live in this house" indicator as well. [All the trash and junked cars and shit like that work for that, too, I guess.])
