At first glance, you might think "Holy fuck, that's a lot of games there." But then, you realize that at least half of that stuff is just DLC, soundtracks, "upgrades," and other extras. I mean, it's still nothing to sneeze at, but it's not nearly as impressive as the gargantuan scrolling list might at first seem.

That said, I did buy two or three things from there that I didn't already have.

The Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana game is, now that they have it fixed properly, quite a lot of fun to play imo. All the complaints I had about it back when it released was over the complete shitjob NIS did of localizing it for the most part. If you're getting it digitally then you obviously won't have to worry about that - sadly I got the PS4 physical edition so had to download the large fix for it.

I doubt I'd buy the game on gog all the same (or any pc store) but that's only because my computer sucks for gaming and I'm sure it'd run like crap for me.

There are other games I'd probably consider but then it runs up against the wall of gog not having prepaid cards to load onto my account. Technically I could load a visa/mastercard giftcard onto it, but those have activation fees and aren't reloadable and otherwise a big hassle. So I guess gog can continue waiting for me to spend money on it the way I'll spend money on steam.
