A post on Whatever.
I don't remember the exact date, but it was probably within a week, at most, give or take, of the March 11, 2020 date that Mr. Scalzi gives here.
I was at Ma's old house, on March whatever, 2020, and we were cleaning it out (i.e. taking everything not worth keeping and throwing it into a huge dumpster to be hauled away on the back of a truck), and other family members there went out to get some lunch for everyone, and when they got back, they said that the place they went to had claimed they'd probably be closing down soon because of the coronavirus. And that was the point that I first heard of COVID-19, though it was still just being called "the coronavirus" at that point.
