Bleeping curse words on a TV show or in a song just focuses more attention to it, rather than "helping." Even if it's not totally obvious what they said anyway (which is usually is), you're still sitting there wondering what they said that was so "bad" it had to be bleeped.
Why can't they get more creative with it, like this?
That said, it's (sometimes) pretty funny when completely innocuous things are bleeped unnecessarily to make it seem like there was cursing even when there wasn't.
