Man, I'm really tired of hearing all these assholes incessantly sharting, loudly, in public, about how "canceled" they are.

If they actually were canceled, then I wouldn't be hearing about it all the time, which would be pretty great. Instead, they use their massive public platforms to interminably whine to their thousands of brown-nosing followers about how they supposedly no longer have a voice, and then sites like Cracked make appropriately derisive articles about them. The main thing I find they all have in common is that they've all mostly gone from telling jokes to being jokes. (Or, in Cosby's case, a disgusting piece of shit who really does need to go away forever, one way or another.)

The fun thing about Cleese is that according to the links, he was actively a part of the reason why Monty Python is no longer on British airwaves. That is, he's one of the people that actively pushed to SELL the broadcasting rights to Python to Netflix.

So yeah, it was cancelled in the sense that they no longer had the legal rights to air it. But even then they have aired it as late as 2018 or 2019. So I don't know where Cleese got the whole "decade or more" argument from.

Yeah, the whole John Cleese thing is just yet another example among billions of examples of a RWNJ[1] being either factually incorrect, explicitly deceitful, or both of those things. No real shock there.

[1] - Basically, my observational experience is that anyone who self-describes as a "classic/old-fashioned liberal" tends to be a RWNJ, at least in some respects. Whinging about "cancel culture" or "wokeness" or whatever is certainly a recent hallmark of RWNJs, for sure.
