Republicans/conservatives: "Freeze peach! You can't silence us! It's just jokes, bruh! Everyone is too sensitive and too easily offended these days! We should be able to say we hate fags and/or trannies and/or niggers and/or feminists as much as we want and not have to deal with or worry about consequences of our words and actions! Cancel culture! Wokeism! SJWs! Blargh! Argle-bargle!"
Also Republicans/conservatives: "That company/brand/celebrity did a thing[1] that we don't like, so we're going to boycott it/them and ban it/them and squeal loudly and incessantly to tell everyone else to also stop supporting it/them forever!"
I mean, you know, aside from the typical, inherent Republican/conservative hypocrisy and projection and all, because that most assuredly explains the vast majority of it. Basically, the subject line is a rhetorical question.
