I'm not sure why people keep going on about "Skynet and Agent Smith are going to kill us all," when the real threat of these LLM/AI things is more of the "humanity will render itself extinct because everyone will be too busy fucking holograms in the holosuite" variety. (Maybe that's the real reason why most of these AI companies like OpenAI or whoever are so insistent on implementing censorship on their LLMs. ¬_¬)
Anyway, I'd say LLMs are more like glorified autofill/autocorrect than tape recorders, but otherwise, yeah.
