So... I've just made a special sub-folder in the "Comics" folder of my bookmarks, the heading of which is "In time out until 2-15-2027." The only entry in that folder is Dumbing of Age, after I removed it from my main "Comics" folder. When one year has passed (and assuming I haven't been hit by a bus or the world hasn't exploded in a blaze of Trumpish fart gas or something before then), I'll binge what has been released between now and then (or binge as much as I can stomach of it, as the case may be). If it still continues to suck at that point as much as it does now, I guess that'll be that, and I'll just delete the bookmark entirely.

I'm considering also adding Questionable Content to that sub-folder (or one similar). Just to note, the then-most-recent page of QC as of that previous post there was this one. That post was written before any of the three characters Liz, Ayo, or Anh were introduced into the comic (and those three characters are probably by far the worst characters in the comic right now [each individually, but especially on the so far blessedly rare occasions that at least two of them have been in the same location at the same time], all three of which [along with Yay] were literally called "goblins" by the comic itself, which is not as endearing a description as Jeph Jacques seems to believe it to be), and it was also written before any of the Cubetown stuff (including Moray, who is also a bit of a "goblin," in her own way) became a thing. The character Emmett (who is the focus of the current storyline, which started here, after having not been seen in the comic for over 300 pages and over two years real time [and who certainly wasn't the best new character ever added to the comic, either]) had only just been introduced into the comic about four months before my post. And, lastly, one of the characters I had listed as one of my favorites, Brun, has not been seen in the comic at all since long before I made that post (outside of a rerun back in December, the commentary of which consisted of Jacques making a joke, referring to a previous joke [which, "funny" enough, was also referenced in her last real appearance there], about how long it has been since she was last seen in the comic), meaning that my complaint in that previous post about the comic just seeming to completely forget about and unceremoniously drop characters (since if Jacques hadn't just happened to land on a comic with Brun in it while pressing the "random" button during his rerun hiatus in December, there wouldn't have been even that much acknowledgement of her prior existence) is just as valid now as it was then, if not even more so.

However, with that said, Questionable Content has merely become insipid and a bit inane but still mostly innocuous, whereas Dumbing of Age has become grossly inconsistent and actively irritating to the point of being nigh infuriating. And it's weird that this post was started with the intention of being a (relatively) short "Meh, I'm quitting Dumbing of Age for now" post, but ended up being more of a rant about Questionable Content, instead.
