Walking home.
May. 29th, 2006 06:03 pmJust walked home from work today. I decided to take a different route than I normally do when I walk, and it ended up being way better than the others I've taken in the past. The route (according to Google Earth) is right around 2.9 miles and I walked it in less than an hour (about 57 - 58 minutes, according to my watch). It was actually pretty surprising given that it usually takes me about an hour and ten or twenty minutes to walk the other routes, which are roughly the same in distance. There was a lot less traffic to have to deal with this way though. Even better, the route just looks a lot better than the others I was taking, scenery-wise. And best of all, it goes right past one of the entrances to Redmond Town Center, so if I ever walk it again and decide I want to stop in to EB Games or something for a bit, it wouldn't be too much out of the way (which it most certainly would have been on the other routes). It also goes by Half-Priced Books, so I could stop in there too if I wanted. All in all, it was pretty awesome.
It almost makes me want to buy a bicycle.
