That's a really good deal. Even though I already own all five (six, technically, since there are two versions of the first game included) games myself, I'm tempted to buy I have already bought this just to have a version of QFG5 that actually works.

If/when I decide to play though this series again, though, I think I'll try to use the AGDI remake of QFG2 this time, since I haven't actually played that yet.

Ha ha ha ha ha, yeah, right, because Bristol Palin of all people is *totally* an expert on that whole "family values" thing. *eyeroll*

Of course, it isn't really surprising that a Palin would have that sort of anti-gay mindset.

Anyway... we should care about what a Palin says... why, again? Why are they even getting press to begin with? Their 15 minutes were used up long ago. Really, I can't wait to hear the thoughts of Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian on this matter as well.

Seriously though, I've seen far more news in the past day or so discussing right-wingnuts slamming Obama for this than I've seen anything positive coming of it, and it's already incredibly tiresome. -_- Politics as usual, just as I expected. How aggravating.

This has to be one of the seediest things to come out of the video game industry in quite a while, in my not at all humble opinion, especially given how rampant cheating tends to be in games like that.

...and why do I get the feeling that EA/Activision/whoever are watching this and taking notes? ¬_¬

Amazingly, Republique is within $80,000 of its $500,000 goal with 20 hours to go. I honestly didn't think it had a chance at first, and it still might not make it, but it certainly started sprinting toward the end here, since last I checked in on it. I hope it does make it.

(EDIT)

Looks like it made its goal, with (as of this edit) 6 hours left to go. Nice.

Man... I started reading this expecting that it was simply going to be another interview with Al Lowe about the upcoming remake. Instead (or in addition to, anyway), I got a harrowing tale of corporate chicanery concerning the death of the original Sierra On-Line.

Seriously, this is the first time I've ever heard of this. o_O So that's why Sierra suddenly went under and was essentially never heard from again, despite being at what was probably the height of its popularity at the time. What a damn crying shame. (And, no, I don't consider that shambling zombie that Activision currently owns to be Sierra at all.)
