"DMCA Claim Over GPL Non-Compliance Shuts Off Minecraft Plug-Ins"

Between this and that other thing from the other day, I think it's probably about time for Mojang to just stop using Bukkit altogether and make their own thing. Seems like it'd probably save them a lot of headache in the long run, especially since the (former?) Bukkit guys seem determined to prevent them from using it now, for whatever reason. Mojang could probably win this if it came to a court fight or something, because I'm fairly sure you can't use the GPL in the way this Wolvereness guy is trying to use it given that Minecraft itself isn't and never was GPL, but it'd probably be simpler to just cut the buttmad babies loose entirely and do their own thing.

Funny how Bukkit apparently only enforces GPL when it suits them, but otherwise doesn't (that was the third link I found when I did a Google search for "bukkit gpl").

The Death of Wolverine

So, apparently, Marvel is going to kill off Wolverine. And, supposedly, it's going to be permanent. Yeah. Right.

Remember when they killed off Superman? Batman? The Flash? Captain America? All of those guys came back. Wolverine will, too.
